Nina Montini
catalogues
Nina Montinis works interfere with
familiar images of everyday life in a
humorous or absurd manner. The
actions are documented in small
paper boxes. Ones in the hands of
the spectator the actions remain
not only a mere documentation but
transforms into object, sculpture,
catalog or application. An action is
documented, the documentation is
becoming a catalog, the catalog is
becoming a sculpture, the sculpture
proves to be an application and the
application allows the reader to
rediscover the spirit and sensation
of the underlying action. Montini is
focusing on how information is
approached by the spectator
instead of directly transferring
information.
